I don't use Crunchyroll since I mostly prefer DVD/Blu-ray(& dubs) but was curious on the quality. Why is the original 4:3 aspect ratio of D.Gray-man and Trigun stretched? Other shows that were originally 4:3 like Ikki Tousen, My-HiME & Outlaw Star are correct however. Unless something is messed up on my Flash plugin.

Insert perennial complaint about Crunchyroll not having Sony or Samsung TV/Blu Ray device apps >>here<<.
I'm finding myself using Hulu a lot more these days, because many of the series I'm interested in are streaming there as well and they have apps available that allow me to use them on my large screen TV. And yeah, I know about Roku; unfortunately, that's not workable in my case. |

Hooray, more shows that I bought on disc so I could watch them only to have them show up on Crunchyroll a few months later.
I'm glad they're here now, and I'm not opposed to buying physical anime, but I prefer to watch a show before buying it if possible. |

100% agree.. remember though that streaming series are there one day and gone the next. I will always prefer physical copies over Digital or Digital Streaming. I should go back and watch Shakugan no Shana.. I enjoyed that one. |

Nice additions! Except Moeyo Ken, that show is one of the lowest all-time scores on my anime list because it was such a ..... nothing show. Usually shows that leave me ambivalent get a middle "meh" rating for not being good or bad, they're just there. Moeyo Ken however..... It left me feeling insulted by how devoid of actual substance it was. Hey at least it was more memorable than other middling series by being an all-time champion of middling series lol.

I thought I'd ask here since in the past going to Cunrchyroll's forums doesn't bear much fruit...
I'm in Canada, and the streaming on Crunchy for the past week+ has been terrible. Videos either don't play or play very very choppily or just pause for very long periods of time. I'm using the apps on PS4 & PS3. Even tried reinstalling the app, but the results are the same. Other streaming applications work fine, so it's not an internet service issue on my end. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? |

I’ve heard about Shana for the longest time and I’m glad to see it available on more services. I’ll be sure to add it to my queue as it always sounded like something I would like quite a bit.

Outlaw Star and Trigun are great classics that I'm glad to see streaming though I've already seen Trigun a few years ago and I have Outlaw Star on DVD. I've never seen Shana though and I always wanted to check it out, so this gives me a good excuse to. Why does it seem like My Hime has kind of dropped off the map in anime fandom in recent years? I remember it was one of the biggest anime shows when it first came out but hardly anyone talks about it anymore.

I'm in the U.S. and I'm not experiencing the same problem. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but this may have to do with the content delivery network (CDN) your apps are connecting to. The CDN you connect to is basically completely out of your control. You could maybe try a VPN to see if you'd get a different CDN? (No idea if this is true, just a guess.) I've heard it's possible to connect to a VPN via your PS4, but I've never really looked into it. I'd be curious to know if you're having the same problem watching videos through a browser. Does Crunchyroll over a browser still require Flash? Regardless, it really sucks when things like this happen. You're paying for access to a library that is essentially useless to you at the moment... Just another reason I hope physical media stays alive even if it become a niche market. Good luck, my friend. Dantalion! I quite enjoyed this series.
Glad to see Betrayal added back into CR’s catalog. I’d been wanting to rewatch the series for a while. I’m still sad that Funimation’s release of the series was DVD only, otherwise I would have purchased it. Also it’ll be fun to revisit Outlaw Star. I don’t actually remember much of the story, but have positive nostalgia feelings for the series on the whole. |

My preferred method as well. Watch on stream, and if I like, buy it physical. With streaming, you have to be aware that it can go away in time. |
