That's a good thing, I always wanted to watch it. Only problem is that the series has been running in Japan for a long time. Which episode Funimation going to start?

Tried watching it. Couldn't stand it. Hopefully they'll stick it on Sunday with the rest of the idiotic shows.

Say what you will. [adult swim]'s comedy programming has always gotten a higher audience than the anime programming. As much as I loved FMA and several other anime series on [as], neither it, nor any other anime series for that matter, has ever gotten as many viewers as the comedies that lead off the night.

I'm sick of people bashing the Sunday line-up....It's got Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Moral Orel, Metalocolypse, and... The rest of it sucks, currently. They've canceled most of the good shows in favor for crap such as 12 oz. Mouse, Squidbillies, Assy McGee, and these new POS live action series.

Personally, I love Shin-chan. It is rather.... "stupid" though... I can easily see why people wouldn't like it. 'Tho, I compare it to the zaniness of FLCL or Excel Saga, so if you like those shows and say Shin-chan is crap, your opinion is invalid. (In my opinion, at least)

EDIT: How ironic is it that I made a stupid typo when put italics on the word "stupid"?

When Shin-Chan was first announced I thought "I remember that show, when they called it 'The Super Milk-Chan Show'." But unlike Milk, I actually enjoyed it. With this style of humor, individual mileage will vary. But I thought it was pretty creative, and that Shin-Chan voice Laura Bailey came up with was amazing! Consider the variety of characters she has voiced:

Sana (Kodocha)
Lust (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Evangeline/Ayaka (Negima)
And of course, Shin-Chan to name just a few.

She continues to impress, and is easily one of my favorite dub VA's

This is good news, when it had its test run it did very well in ratings, so I kind of expected this. But you never know. I think it is much better than at least half of there comedy line up, beaten only by some very good shows mind you.

And even though it is edited very heavily both on script and animation, I don't mind as I think they knew what they were doing.

And where else do you are you going to hear quotes like: "Hima, did you take the one pleasure in mommy's life that doesn't involve detachable showerheads". Hilarious, yet true.

Edit:
since we are talking about a silly show I wanted to post a completly unrelated, yet silly Video that I just ran into. Work safe.

Yes! I loved this when it was on. and yes their Sunday lineup does..suffer a bit. I wish they'd bring back Sealab. And when the Boondocks comes back on in the summer? Fall? it will get better once again.

Glad to see there's a rough date to when Shin comes back

I know the concept of cartoon children used as adult humor gags isn't new, but as long as they stay consistent I'll watch

The ED song is great, too

I'm personally looking forward ot the DVD BOXSET release. Usually FUNi puts stuff out in singles first.

As for what little of the dub I've watched it was pretty silly and fun. It probably doesn't matter if they put the episodes out in "dub production" order, since Shin-Chan is a very episodic show and probably has no real continuity.

Of course, I'm speaking out of my ass here, though.
