Technical issues that somehow result in just one show with episodes that were apparently working fine before disappearing with no explanation on what the problem is? Somehow, I'm less than convinced.

That Reddit post was rather informative, if those are the facts. Sounds like this guy was a rather large outrage clickbaity type when it came to picking the most popular shows and pressing the buttons that'd cause a reaction.

Rifujin na Magonote seems like a cool person, really wish more people shared their attitude.

Yeah, I am with you on there. Technical issues my foot! That is just polite speech there.

I think there is agreement that Mushoku Tensei is not appropriate for underage audience? If that GT article is correct then I don't know what the problem is.

And this is not a thing unique to China. Just about every season there is some anime on simulcast that probably will piss off a lot of people in any non-Japanese country if they were exposed to it for some reason. Perhaps that's not Mushoku Tensei but even a lot of typical anime watchers complained about how inappropriate it can be at times. Let alone normal folks who are not familiar with this type of content at all.

Yes, this was a "technical failure", and the National Security Law was a "regulatory rephrasing".

Technical Issues? Billibilli?

Press X to doubt.

The CCP or their hypernationalist antis forced Billibilli to remove the anime, I can't trust the same site that enabled antis to cause so many issues for Cover in the name of the CCP and those same antis still exist abeit in much smaller numbers today.

I remember reading Mushoku Tensei WN years ago. I found it to be your typical incel bait, just like most LNs. I haven't watched the show, but if there isn't a major change of content from the WN, then the flak it is receiving is completely understandable.

Translation of the Bilibili statement from: https://animecorner.me/2021/02/streamer-who-got-mushoku-tensei-removed-from-bilibili-gets-suspended-and-faces-legal-charges/
Quote:
The punishments decided are as follows:

1. Bilibili will prosecute Lex Burner for violating the contract and hold him legally responsible.

2. Until the judicial conclusion, Lex Burner’s account and live streaming room will be banned.

3. Revoke Lex Burner’s 2020 performance awards. He had won 2 awards for the past year as one of the highest rated streamers.

4. Disqualify Lex Burner from participating in the “Creative Incentive Program” and other community incentive activities.

That’s...honestly overly-excessive.

Is it really?

If we believe everything that has been said, it could be construed that Lex Burner has cost bilibili a lot of money and he did that by burning bridges.

As with many other internet personalities around the world, a moments bit of impulsiveness may have caused him to forget the bigger picture, and you can't take things back once said on the internet.

Another question for clarification, is what contract is bilibili referring too? Is Lex Burner a paid personality of bilibili to some degree? Or is it a normal Terms of Service relationship between the Streamer and the Streaming service? The use of the word "contract" seems to indicate it was an actual contract between the two. Or it could be a translation error.

When you bite the hand that feeds you, it can be quite costly.
