I really enjoyed Love After World Domination, though I'm not sure if this would be something that interests me. I hear the manga has fans though, so I'm happy for them.

I hope Mamoru Miyano reprise his role as Dazai here.

What is interesting is that unlike most other isekai this one is based of a real prominent person from japan's history. The only other isekai i have ever seen using a real life protagonist before was in drifters, i wonder how they can do this?

It is interesting premise so il keep an eye on it.

When will the Isekai trope finally start to wane........(Imagine me at the top of Mt. Everest screaming this out loud to the new writers of today ) Laughing Laughing

That said, this might be an interesting one.

Is Oda Nobunaga a fictional character? Because I've seen more than one isekai with him in the lead.

No, he was a real person.

Great news! It would be interesting to see Dazai in modern world!

Oda is a real life warlord from the warring states period.

Oh great, another series that pokes fun at Dazai's suicidal nature. Pass.

It remains really weird to me that Dazai's deep-seated depression and nihilism is treated like a quirky personality trait. The No Longer Human manga by Usamaru Furuya remains a very difficult read.

You definitely need to be in a good place to read it, even though it's very difficult. I don't want to say it's a "good" read but an important one, I guess.

It does pose for a good discussion though about how his depression could speak to many people, but in many forms his character is poked fun of or done to some extreme. Like I said ,I find this manga very funny, but it does make you wonder though.

Has there really been an isekai though? Only ones I can think of is either him being reincarnated in the future or somebody going back in time and meeting him (or her as the case may be). Can't think of a story where he ends up on another world all together.
