Why is it that the rest of the world gets a dubbed version but not the U.S., huh? -_-;

Hmm reminds me of one of my favorite anime 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother. Is this a World Masterpeice Theater anime? All of them are usually incredibly sad through the entire thing but the endings are almost all happy and tear inducing, well except for the Dog of Flanders movie... that was just plain depressing.

And yes why does every single country have a classic historical anime (3000 Leagues, Oniisama E, etc.) dub except the U.S?

It probably wasn't cost effective for an anime that has a limited market appeal, especially considering it's subject matter and age.

Who said it doesnt?

Little Women (that of 1987) and Tom Sawyer were broadcast but no distributor released them yet in English on DVD

it is a TMS production with legendary titles like Treasure Island and Orguss

I finally got around to watching the first DVD of this series. I'm very impressed at the master that this was struck off of. Most pre-2000 shows have horrible masters and even television series as recent as Cybuster or Silent Mobius have a dingy contrast poor look to them. While the Remi transfer might not look as crisp as the restored Macross, Bublegum Crisis or Evangelion remasters it is obviously not taken from a pre digital age master. The colors hold up and the contrast is definitely strong on this release.

I'm also glad that each volume of the IA DVDs have different artwork on the DVDs themselves. My second volumes actually arrived a few days after my first volumes, and I was a little concerned that the artwork would be the same on the other DVDs,

At 6 episodes for $10 this is an amazing deal.

It's so nice to see that anime with "limited market appeal" is still being released in the US. I'll have to get this one with some Christmas money.
