Wow, seems "Moyashimon" is becoming quite the sleeper hit. I'll admit it's a really good show, but I never would've watched it had it not been for a friend of mine that said to check it out.

Who knew Microbes could be so damn cute?! Anime hyper

Moyashimon is pretty damn brilliant, I knew it right off the first episode alone. Odd that the ANN rating for it is so mixed o.O

Moyashimon airs in the fabled Noitamina block which while being late at night showcases more mainstream friendly anime than other late night slots which are aimed at otaku.

My recollection from reading the ratings in this thread over the past year is that Nodame Cantabile had the highest ratings of Noitamina shows. Some episodes were well over 5%. Nodame Cantabile may have gotten something of a boost from airing after the live-action dorama was telecast, though.


If anyone is curious about what Gundam 00 did it finished 15th this week.

*4.0% (*4.5%) 12/08 (Sat) *6:00pm-*6:30pm TBS Kidou Senshi Gundam 00 [Mobile Suit Gundam 00] (Kansai Region - 5.7%)

The reruns of Major Season 3 which is running at the same time beat it this week by finishing 11th.

None of the top 10 shows in that chart are animated by Gonzo, right? No wonder why they complain about piracy, fansubs and such; they can't do decent shows to even interest the average japanese TV viewer Laughing They don't want Gonzo animation even it's free Rolling Eyes

The majority of Gonzo stuff is aimed at Otaku and airs late at night, you have to realize that 95% of the popular fansub anime don't brake into this top 10 list. Noitamina block is an exception for late night shows and back when prime time shows like Gundam SEED (02) and FMA (03) were averaging over 5% they were not getting into the top 10 as well. Back than Naruto, Bleach and Inuyasha were pretty much always in the top 10 IIRC.
