I don't know how it happened, but somehow Dorohedoro is my most anticipated anime of the season now despite me being lukewarm with Season 1. I remember it being confusing and interesting at the same time, but I pretty much forgot the story (and the show's existence) over all the chaos of COVID and the years hence. I didn't even know there was an S2 'til the trailer watch party.

The mystery is indeed still getting piled on, but a lot of things are also getting more obvious like who Caiman really is (though still no clue how it all happened). As such I interpreted the line from Nikaidou in Episode 5 not as a permanent parting, but rather, a nod to losing the Caiman as we know him today. I don't know how bad it's going to be when Caiman gets his human head back, and I'm really itching to read ahead and find out. Ugh, Wednesdays can't come soon enough.

EDIT: Also, I don't know how I didn't notice it sooner until it was mentioned in Episode 5, but it appears humans tend to have Western-sounding names while sorcerers have Japanese names. It makes it even more obvious in hindsight that Nikaidou was a sorcerer.

En's magic doesn't undo the curse, Ebisu's death does. It's been established that Ebisu has a lizard transformation curse and that death cancels out spells so it was just some convenient timing

We're still putting spoilers in the front-page blurbs, huh?

Seriously, I am so hungry for a pizza right now. I don't care whether it has a mushroom man's ass poking out of it. I would still eat the one Turkey makes.

See, now these are sentences I could never have imagined ever reading in my lifetime. Good job. This is the magic of Dorohedoro, still hidden in chaos.
