30,667 for Rebirth on the Switch 2 is quite good for a port of a 2-year-old game, keep in mind that Remake Intergrade sold 23,428 on the SW2 in its launch week a couple months ago, so there is a slight increase, so maybe Square-Enix's strategy of raising awareness for the FF games post VI is working.
Though just for comparison, on the PS4 FFVII Remake sold 702k copies in its debut week, FFVII R Intergrade debuted at 20k back in 2021 and FFVII Rebirth debuted at 262k in 2024. Don't know if I should count it, but FFVII Crisis Core Reunion debuted at 54k on the PS5, 53k on the PS4 and 48k on the original Switch, so I don't know if maybe digital sales are bigger.
Now I wonder how much Final Fantasy VII Revelation is going to sell in its debut week in Japan, considering that now its going to be debut on both the PS5 and Switch 2 simultaneously (don't the Xbox Series version will matter in Japan). I mean, there's was a huge decrease between the debuts for Remake and Rebirth, but there were tons of factors that affected it. It's obvious that the PS5 version will sell better, I think it could debut at 300k copies, maybe 400k if the hype is there, while the Switch 2 version could debut at 50k, maybe 70k, selling over 100k would be incredible, but I don't know if the audience for FF on Nintendo will grow that much by next year, the only third-party games that debut with over one hundred thousand units on Nintendo in Japan are things like Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest and Momotaro Dentetsu.

I'd say I believe Square-Enix is probably marketing Final Fantasy on Nintendo (especially in Japan) to players that have never played the game before, like there are some hardcore FF fans that are willing to double dip, but considering that S-E did port FF from I to XII to the original Switch, and maybe due to Cloud and Sephiroth's inclusion in Smash, there's maybe some young Nintendo-only players in Japan that haven't played FF before and now they're jumping on the series. But as I said, Revelation is probably going to be the real test, since it'll arrive on the Switch 2 the same day as on the PS5, so it's not going to be a late port.
I also wonder if maybe both Remake and Rebirth will have a resrugence in sales when Revelation comes out, there's plenty of people online who claimed they are wating for the whole trilogy to be release in order to play the game in just one go, but I don't think they are that many people who decided to wait 7 years for that.
