I love Yen Press, I hope this is will effect titles in a good way and not a bad way. Like maybe getting quicker releases? I dont know, I just hope everything is ok over at Yen.

I hope Yen comes out with a press release soon.

I wish I had more positive feelings about this.

Editorial shuffles aren't too big of a deal- everyone seems to be staying in place with only Rich moving, which means the magazine should remain unaffected. I imagine it might mean more collaboration, which could probably help in terms of original works, especially for anything that Hachette wants to market as a whole, like say any novels that also have manga editions that they're publishing [Cirque du Freak and Haruhi, for example]

This is more than an editorial shuffle - an entire new divisionpresided over by the sff group. I've seen enough consolidations to make me wary of this. Though I can understand if a retrenchment was needed for market conditions - that's business. I just hope any collaboration is positive. I'm not interested in mixing sff with my manga and manhwa experince.

Oh, great, the only publisher who I just wanted to keep everything going the same will now change. I really hope this doesn't affect the quality of their books, and I certainly hope it doesn't mean that sales have been slow... I just placed an order for like 20 Yen Press books, I want to support them, they're incredible, doing everything right, and they such a huge amount of titles I'm just so excited about coming in 2009...

Please don't let me down Yen Press.

Oh, and I also hope this doesn't change the logo to Orbit on the book spines, I hate having things that look odd.

Whenever the high-ups in a company leave there's going to be some amount of instability as a result, unless of course the person who leaves was of little importance. I hope Yen can pull through this and become a stronger company. They have some big titles like Haruhi, but I think they need to spend some more on advertising at least -- a lot of times when Yen Press picks up something I don't find out until it's sitting on the shelf at the local bookstore.

Hope this doesn't mean that their release times are gonna become longer. I've been waiting for Spiral forever. Confused

Well I hope this doesn't delay anything. Then again, who wants their light novels/magna/anime to be delayed?

I don't think you have to worry about advertising for Haruhi, at least.

I saw Spiral 5 at my local Borders last Saturday night along with some other new Yen Press releases such as Zombie-Loan 4 and Haruhi 1 (manga).

I saw an issue of yen press at my local Coles bookstore, I thought it looked interesting but didn't have any money to get it at the time.

Anyway, IDK, like some other users have been saying I don't think this really affects anyone unless they are actually working for the company. But I digress I really don't know.

I've seen it in one of my Borders, but haven't picked it up yet since it looks like It'll be a while before Vol. 6 comes out.
