I saw the Trailer last night. This Movie looks like win. I already brought it to FUNimation's Table.

I see he is still using Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was a great movie and all, but the character designs were a little too simple, especially when compared with the backgrounds which were outstanding.

Looks great! I've never heard of this before, but as soon as I clicked the trailer I said it reminded me of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. xD Guess he's got a very distinctive style!

Looks interesting but a little hard to tell since I don't understand any Japanese. I like the art work though, it's simple but not overly so.

Looks positively great. Production values are gorgeous and the film itself looks like it will be great fun as well.

It goes without saying that Bandai/Kadokawa USA should pick this up.

Please let Bandai/Kadokawa pick this one up. I love the limited edition release of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time that they put together and I'd love to see that again for Summer Wars.

This movie reminds me a lot of Mamoru Hosoda's earlier film "Digimon: Our War Game." The previous trailer demonstrated this even more so, but this new one shows us how much more there is to the story. Can't wait to see it, even though it'll be very long until I get the opportunity.

Judging from the trailer it seems very good. I'm already excited to see what the crew can do. I already know that I like Mamoru Hosoda, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, and Youji Takeshige. But Al I've seen from Satoko Okudera is The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Don't get me wrong I thought it was really good, but that's just one thing. But I'm expecting a good product from this and I hope a company in America picks it up quick.

Funny that you mention it - I just finished watching Digimon Adventure: Bokura no War Game less than five minutes ago.

I have to say that I agree with the comparison. It seems as though Hosoda is returning to his roots, as it were, with Summer Wars, and that is certainly a good thing. That said, anyone who considers themself a fan of Mamoru Hosoda who hasn't seen his Digimon films should watch them both. They're great.

Now I'm going to check out this One Piece film of his that I've heard a lot of good things about. Smile

I actually loved the character designs in Tokikake and I am glad to see the designs are very similar here. I like how the characters look normal so to speak.

I am looking forward to this movie but sadly it will probably be awhile before we get to see it in the US.

I also really like how the characters are designed. Their eyes don't take up over half of their face. Laughing
I saw The Girl That Leapt Through Time around 1 1/2 years ago and loved it, but this movie looks even better. I can't wait for August!
