HAHAHA Well you heard it hear folks, if your local economy needs a boost just some how get your town tied into Lucky Star. This is the new solution to the global economic crises, quick Kyoto Animation, make a new season Lucky Star to save all the small towns of the world. If this keeps up the Japanese government is going to have to give Lucky Star it's own section when they estimate their GDP.

*Groan*

Goodness, I hated that show -the only funny/entertaining bit was Lucky Channel at the end. THAT was funny! They should have made THAT the show instead of the slow/boring, otaku in-joke fan service it was.

On a brighter note, I'm happy for the town's economy.

A similar situation happened round Yokohama when a local cave shrine was used as the concept for Ryouko's cave tomb in Tenchi Muyo, also much to the pleasure of the local tradesmen. Wink

^ The Tenchi Muyo shrine is in Okayama, not Yokohama.

Okayama's way over in western Kansai.

Leave it to 'Lucky Star' to put some money in your pocket. Well, those advertising. I do have to pick up the series eventually.

It is good to hear the shrine and town there are benefiting from the tourism but what about the real meaning of the shrine itself? Are the deities it was made to worship getting their due? I am just wondering about that part.

Maybe the USA's economy will have a rise if we tie a real town in with say... Twilight perhaps.

Oh wait, it's already been done somewhere in Washington...

Do Eden of the East count?

But then, it looks like inviting Japanese to visit the White House.
----------

Back to topic, advertising might the factor on how income for that place rose because of Lucky Star.

I didn't heard any related news about it when Onegai Teacher! was held in the exact place in Japan, also.
