This actually sounds cool, but then again I love Minato so seeing him as a focus in a movie is actually pretty darn awesome.

I didn't know there was 10 movies for Naruto though - I've only counted 7 including this one. I guess the shorts like the Sports Festival one count or something? Dunno. Anime hyper

My hate for most things non-canon in the Naruto anime has kept me from watching any of the movies, but I don't know if the Minato fangirl in me can resist this movie.

Damn them, they have discovered my weakness.

Most anime films based on series are just feature-length fillers and a waste of time, there's no point in watching them if they're not canon. Few anime films have been canon with the series like Fullmetal Alchemist, Transformers and Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

One Piece movies 4 and 6 beg to differ. Heck, Bleach movie 1 was actually better than any of the garbage we've gotten from the series for the last two years.

I think some people who are only following the anime dub are going to be a little surprised by the news of this movie since the premise is just one big story spoiler. Though, you'd have to be completely oblivious to never put 2 and 2 together...

This actually sounds decent... But wait, how will they manage to shove Sasuke down our throats with a premise like this? Wink

Hidetsugu Ito, Shinji Hashimoto, Norio Matsumoto, Tetsuya Nishio, Takahiro Kishida, Hirofumi Suzuki and others would beg to disagree when it comes to the Naruto movies.

Masahiko Murata directed and storyboarded quite a few episodes of the first TV series, so I'm looking forward to the two movies that he's directed.

??? It's a new story with characters that you like. How is that a waste of time by default? Just because some RL Stine quality writers (which is actually a complement for most manga writers) didn't write it doesn't make it fail by default. I'd argue that it's the total opposite.

This is awesome! Can't wait to see the movie; Minato is my 2nd favorite Hokage.

LOL and (as a joke) my father-in-law.

Sounds completely stupid if you ask me.
They should be focusing on getting a decent bloody plot together rather than think "which popular character can we centre the film around this time."
But hey, maybe it'll get to the point of the One Piece movies where eventually the mangaka steps in to write the plot for a movie after they run out of ideas? We can but hope...
