I totally called Chris Patton as Kaoru. Razz

I really liked this show, so hopefully Sentai will give it a good dub.

Ah, was wondering when Sentai would finally get around to announcing the cast. Wonder how it'll go...

Kinda surprised on the choices for the two leads. Whatever whispers I've read regarding dub speculation for this show, I've gotten the impression that Chris Patton would make for a good Sentaro, maybe more so than Kaoru. (Don't have as much familiarity with him as I'd like to, I'm afraid, despite his vast experience.) As for Andrew Love playing Sentaro? I'm only familiar with his work in Penguindrum, in which he plays a middle-aged doctor and Tabuki (in different halves of the series), so it's going to be interesting for me to see what voice/register he'll play Sentaro as. Obviously, it'd have to be pretty different from those deeper and quieter performances. Does anyone here have a more informed opinion of Love's range and/or capabilities?

He's actually who I had in mind for the role so this kind of worked out for me. A shame Foster's directing this though. His voice is a pretty good fit since he plays a lot of gruff characters and while he doesn't have much range, Sentaro's character is in his element.

I once saw a person call Andrew Love the "better Chris Sabat". That person was a moron. Razz

Anyways, while I do like Andrew, I just don't know if he's the best choice to voice a teenager. I guess we'll find out soon enough, although I have to admit, my expectations aren't very high considering Lil' Stevie's in the director's chair again. Confused

BUT... He has surprised me before, so what do I know?

May 7th?! That's the day after my last semester at my college ends! I am SO gonna buy the set at Anime North! The dub cast seems pretty good, and I've heard Chris Patton before. He's pretty good.

One more thing...is Tsuritama gonna be dubbed?! It better! And if they are dubbing it, they better cast Spike Spencer as Haru or some butts will be kicked!

Spike Spencer's an L.A. voice actor now. He doesn't do Texas dubs anymore unless he's reprising Shinji.

I am a bit skeptical about Andrew Love voicing Sentaro and would have liked to see Mariko voiced by Hilary Haag instead. Other than than, the cast seems fine to me. I hope the dub turns out good.

I expected this would be the cast exept for Rebekah Stevens as Ristuko which intrests me to watch the dub even more Very Happy . Well seeing Inu x Boku and that guy harem show's dubs being both positive so far IMO and with Stevens great work on "Children Who Chase Lost Voices", "Towanoquon", "Grave of the Fireflies", and "Horizon In the Middle of Nowhere". I guess this dub will be between solid or great! I wonder if Steve will change the script to add more quotes/stuff of Jazz.

I can consider that guy a moron for trying to find a comparison for the two? There both wonderful actors each with a strong and weak point. Besides if they were the same then lets see Chris Sabat try to sound like a highschool osaken teenager Laughing .

He dropped the ball when he was Greed in FMA. Complete garbage performance. At least his replacement, Troy Baker, brought some character to the role.

Too bad Sentai pretty much gave the finger to Steve Blum when he asked to audition. I think Sentai has some kind of weird superiority complex lately. Seriously contemplating on wether or not to keep my pre-order. I ordered this because they dropped his name when they discussed the show at a panel.

There ya go, wasn't that easy?

He quit only in FMA brotherhood due to reasons/problems with going back and forth between Huston and Dallas so he pick the place he know an loves most.

If by character Troy Baker brought as greed, it was "being dull and not really a greedy sounding motha***ker". But its your opinion and I can see some flaws in Chris, just wanted to hear your opinion Smile. Besides I try to find flaws in some actors as well (EX:Jamie, Eric Vale, Colleen) and all I find is at least one reason, good thing I'm not the only one. Embarassed

Hey take it easy Sad
I don't want to gang pile on one guy's/gal's opinion, I spoke mine out and thats that. And don't want it to end up like sub purist fanboys thumbs downing a comment from one person who likes a certain dub/actor. Not saying I'm pissed off but its the way I'am when commenting with someone and I feel like I spoke to much.
