North American video game publisher XSEED Games announced on Tuesday that it will release Nihon Falcom's The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II (Eiyū Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki II) PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 game in North America on September 6. The game was already slated for this fall.
NIS America is publishing the game in Europe, and still has the game slated for fall in that region.
XSEED describes the game:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II picks up one month after the decisive collision which changed the fate of the entire nation at the conclusion of Trails of Cold Steel. Speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed “ARCUS” system returns with all the bells and whistles players fondly remember alongside a new Overdrive mode, new means of transportation across both the land and sky, new allies, new dangers, and a renewed sense of hope as Rean tirelessly works to right the wrongs that have led the country to disarray.
The game shipped in Japan in September 2014. The game is set in the same world as Falcom's other Kiseki (Trails) series games, including Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. XSEED released The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel in North America last December, and NIS America released the game in January. Falcom announced last December that it is developing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III. XSEED will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd, the third game in the Trails in the Sky series, on the PC in 2017.
