[Sensō Dōwa]

"Sensō Dōwa" ("War Tales For Children") is a yearly TV anime special series that aired on TV Asahi from 2002 to 2009 that deals with stories surrounding the Second World War, most of which are based on stories written by Akiyuki Nosaka ("Grave of the Fireflies") and illustrated by Seitarō Kuroda. The 8 individual specials are all animated by Shin-Ei Animation ("Doraemon," "Crayon Shin-chan").
