Anime no Jikan Android App Alerts When Episodes Air

On Monday, the Japanese software developer RTV released an application for the Android mobile operating system which automatically alerts the user to when television anime episodes air in Japan. In addition to the reminder alarms, the application also offers anime-related news, a full schedule of ongoing series, and widgets which the user can place on their home screen to list the schedule for the series they are watching. The broadcast schedules for different regions of Japan are automatically updated by RTV.
The application is only available in Japanese and comes in both a free ad-supported version and a 100-yen (about US$1.20) version, which has no ads and which also offers two additional widget styles. RTV also offers a similar app for manga.
