Lain's Yoshitoshi Abe, Artist Yukaly Sasaki Marry

Yoshitoshi ABe, the character designer of the Serial Experiments Lain anime and the creator of the Haibane Renmei anime, announced that he got married on Friday. He hinted at his partner's identity in his Friday post, and he then confirmed on Sunday that his new wife is fellow artist Yukaly Sasaki, who drew an illustration (pictured right) of the couple. Yukaly is ABe's assistant, and the two had even bought matching iPads directly from its American launch.

Some people in Japan have been timing their marriage for Friday to take advantage of the date (11/11/11).
