Squid Girl's Lemon Beach House Recreated in Real Life

posted on by Egan Loo
Ferrari racing team to open store based on manga/anime locale in Tokyo on Tuesday

The Lemon Beach House from the Squid Girl (Shinryaku! Ika Musume) manga and anime is being recreated in real-life — except, instead of being on the coast of Izu as in the story, it will open inland in the middle of Tokyo on Tuesday. LMP Motorsport, the team behind the Pacific NAC Ika Musume Ferrari racing car, is running the real-life Lemon in the Tokyo neighborhood of Minami Aoyama.

The shop will sell Squid Girl goods, but not food. The store will be open year-round, except on racing days and other events.

Crunchyroll streamed both seasons of the Squid Girl anime in several countries as they aired in Japan. Media Blasters released the first season on DVD in North America.
