Oresama Teacher's Izumi Tsubaki Draws Heroine on Video

Creator followed sister's footsteps into manga field, was inspired by Yu Yu Hakusho's Togashi
The French website Manga News posted an interview with Oresama Teacher creator Izumi Tsubaki on Tuesday, and the interview includes a time-lapse video of Tsubaki drawing Oresama Teacher's heroine Mafuyu.
Itsubaki notes that she was studying to become a teacher, but eventually decided to follow her sister, who was already working as a manga creator. After Itsubaki won third place in a contest, an editor approached her, and she has been working as a manga creator ever since. Her inspirations include her own sister and Yoshihiro Togashi (Hunter X Hunter), since Togashi's Yu Yu Hakusho series was the first manga she bought on her own.
Viz Media is publishing the sixth volume of Oresama Teacher in North America this month.
