Daigo Umehara, the professional gamer also known as "The Beast" and the "God of 2D Fighting Games," is receiving his own mahjong manga in Takeshobo's Kindai Mahjong Original magazine. Michiaki Kiyama (Gontakure, Oppai Jockey) created Umehara no Mahjong in cooperation with Umehara. The manga appeared in the magazine's December issue that went on sale on Thursday.

Umehara is known for his skill at Capcom fighting games such as Street Fighter. The 31-year-old began playing fighting games as an elementary school student, and he currently holds the Guinness World Record for "the most successful player in major tournaments of Street Fighter."
