Jozu, Vista available to players for joint allied strikes in New World sequel

This year's 14th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Marco the Phoenix will join the playable roster of the One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 game. The characters Jozu and Vista are not listed as playable characters, but players can have them join battles for an "allied strike."

The game sequel will be set in the New World arc of Eiichiro Oda's original manga and Toei's anime adaptation with powered-up characters and action. The game will also introduce a new original mode called "Pirate's Log," new characters, and new stages such as the Punk Hazard arc. The game's playable roster also includes marine admiral Akainu/Sakazuki, former admiral Aoikiji/Kuzan, and admiral Kizaru/Borsalino in their New World forms, marine instructor Monkey D. Garp, Buggy, Crocodile, and Dracule Mihawk.

Namco Bandai Games will release the game in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita systems on March 20, while its European and American branches will release the title for PlayStation 3 this summer.
