Vanillaware's '2D action RPG' to ship in Japan on July 25

Atlus began streaming the first full promotional trailer for its Dragon's Crown PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game on Thursday. The trailer highlights the game's characters features four-player battle gameplay footage. Atlus previously streamed an image trailer for the game last month.

Atlus will ship the "2D action RPG" in Japan on July 25 and in North America this year. Vanillaware (Odin's Sphere, Muramasa: The Demon Blade) is developing the game, and George Kamitani is directing the game. The game's official website has updated with character profiles, gameplay information, screenshots, and a prologue blurb. The official Japanese website notes that the first pressing of the game will include a 64-page full-color artbook that will contain tribute illustrations from various artists.
