The official YouTube channel for Marvelous AQL began streaming two new promotional movie for Fate/Extra CCC's gameplay and “My Room” feature. In “My Room”, players will be able to interact with the servant they control. In the 20-minute gameplay video, the game's producer also appears to play the game.
In addition, the official website for the game has added a visual novel-styled flash mini-game in which the player can take care of Saber when she's ill. By clearing trials such as taking Saber's temperature and feeding her rice porridge, players can proceed through the game. Sakura Tange returns to voice Saber in the full-voiced game.
The studio SHAFT (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Nisemonogatari) is producing the opening anime for the game. Akiyuki Shinbo (Madoka Magica, Bakemonogatari) is directing the opening anime. Kanon Wakeshima wrote, scored, and performed the game's theme song, "Sakura Meikyū" (Sakura Labyrinth).
Marvelous AQL had planned to release this role-playing game inspired by the Fate franchise this past spring, but it has been delayed to this winter and then delayed again to February 21 before the most recent delay to March 28. Marvelous Entertainment already released the first Fate/Extra game for the PSP in 2010, and Aksys Games released the game in North America last November.
This game will come in two editions: a standard edition for 6,279 yen (about US$81.20), and a limited edition Type-Moon Virgin White Box for 10,479 yen (US$135.50). The Virgin White Box version will bundle a Saber Bride figma figure, a "visual works" illustration collection, and Sakura Tange's limited Saber character CD with three songs. Those who order early will also receive the "Virgin Bride" booklet, and first-pressing editions will include four super-deformed Servant character stickers designed by Rco Wada.
The game will be released in Japan this Thursday.
