Class of Heroes 2 to Launch in English Without Animated Opening

Licensing snag over song leads to delay; Gaijinworks mentions interest in selling entire franchise in N. America

GaijinWorks' launch of the Class of Heroes 2 game in English was delayed after a licensing snag involving a newly recorded opening theme song. As a result, the company will resubmit the PSP game to Sony without the song or opening animation.

GaijinWorks will release the game physically at US$36.99 for a UMD/PSN code combo pack and on the PlayStation Network for $24.99.

Class of Heroes 2 is the sequel to Class of Heroes, a dungeon-crawling game for the PSP that Atlus USA released in North America in 2009. The Japanese release of Class of Heroes II bundled an original anime DVD. Two more games follow in the franchise, Class of Heroes 3 and Class of Heroes Final.

Gaijinworks CEO Vic Ireland stated there is interest in releasing the entire franchise in North America, but "the delay is really messing with the timeline to get the series out here."
