Space Brothers Steam Eye Masks Can Help You Relax Even In Zero Gravity

posted on by Chris Nishijima
New steam masks from Space Brothers and Kao Corporation help relax your tired eyes from the stress of training to be an astronaut.

Anime and cosmetic collaborations are far from unheard of these days, but you better be ready for a collaboration of cosmic proportions. Japanese cosmetic company Kao Corporation and the makers of Chūya Koyama's hit anime and manga series Space Brothers are teaming up to bring you their limited edition Space Brothers steam eye mask. Made to hold steam after being microwaved, these eye masks are designed to provide your weary eyes with maximum comfort.

The eye masks will hit shelves in stores across Japan starting May 17. In the meantime, Kao Corporation and the producers of the Space Brothers anime have even made a special animated commercial just for the product, which will be broadcast across Japan from May 15 until the end of the campaign on August 28.

Kao Corporation will also be holding a special lottery on their website to give away some cool stuff to anybody willing to fill out their questionnaire for the campaign. 10 lucky contestants in this drawing will receive the complete 23 volume set of the Space Brother manga series. 30 other participants will be given two full sized boxes of the Space Brothers steam eye masks, each box containing five masks. Finally, anyone that fails to receive either of the first two prizes will have a chance to be one of 960 others to receive a sample pack of the eye masks, each containing a single mask. The questionnaire can be filled out on the official campaign website.

Space Brothers will be seeing the premiere of its first ever feature length anime movie, titled Space Brothers #0 this August 9. For any die hard fans of Space Brothers in the states, real escape game company SCRAP will be hosting an escape game based on the series in San Francisco this month.
