Soul of Chogokin Adds Nadia's V-Nautilus to the Line-Up

Soul of Chogokin has carved a name for itself with its line of immaculately sculpted mecha figures, from Mazinger Z to the the iconic 1970s series Captain Harlock's starship, the Arcadia. Now the line has set its sights on Captain Nemo's V-Nautilus submarine from Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi's classic 1990s anime Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water.

The Soul of Chogokin GX-80 Universal Battleship V-Nautilus is 42.5 centimeters long (or about 16.75 inches) and based on the ship's appearance in the series' final episodes. It comes with plenty of interactive features and plays both voice clips, background music, and sound effects to reenact battles from the series. The ship's wings can be posed outward in a flight position or inward. The main ship includes two replacement cannons, an alternate turret,

The Soul of Chogokin Arcadia ships in September for 27,000 yen (about $250). Pre-orders are currently open. Customers that order by March 4 will also receive a color illustration by series character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.

Sentai Filmworks released Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water- on Blu-ray in 2014. Bandai's official YouTube channel is streaming a preview video for the Soul of Chogokin GX-80 Universal Battleship V-Nautilus figure that includes footage from the anime series.
