Tokyopop announces Marmalade Boy anime

TOKYOPOP has sent out a Press Release officially announcing their acquisition of the Marmalade Boy TV Series. Tokyopop already publishes the English translation of the original Marmalade Boy manga, of which 8 volumes have been released.
Back in November 2001 TOKYOPOP already suggested that they had the rights to the Marmalade Boy TV series with the statement "Look for the Marmalade Boy anime on VHS & DVD coming soon from TOKYOPOP" in the now defuct Smile Magazine.
TOKYOPOP will be releasing Marmalade Boy in 3 DVD, 18 episode "collectors sets," starting with volume 1 in April 2004.
In addition to the Manga and TV series, there is also a 26 minute Marmalade Boy movie. TOKYOPOP has confirmed to us that the movie is included in their license, but that at this moment specifics regarding its release were not available, "Stay Tuned," we were told.
