Haruhi Adventure Game Set for Japanese PlayStation 2

Posters on the Japanese 2ch message board are reporting on magazine coverage announcing Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadō (The Bewilderment of Haruhi Suzumiya), a Sony PlayStation 2 game for the Haruhi absurdist comedy franchise that is scheduled for January 2008. The game will feature "Ultra Hero Haruhi" (the franchise's title character in a parody costume of fantasy role-playing games), but will otherwise be a standard adventure game. The player plots the day-to-day schedule of the SOS Brigade's effort to make a "super spectacular fantasy" game within the game. The overall game is different from the previously announced Japanese PlayStation Portable game.
In related news, Figma, the new venture founded by famous model expert Max Watanabe and action figure creator Masaki Apsy, is developing super-poseable action figures based on the "Ultra Hero Haruhi" concept and the Yuki Nagato character.
