Ace Assault Starts, Comic Jumbo & Shōnen Fang Suspends

Kadokawa has launched a Monthly Shōnen Ace spinoff magazine called Zōkan Ace Assault on July 10 for 540 yen. The launch titles include Sakae Esuno's Mirai Nikki: Mosaic suspense manga and Hajime Segawa's Garei: Tsuina no Shō magical action story (both of which are side stories based on Shōnen Ace titles). The magazine also promises tie-ins with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Fate/stay night.
Chuosha reports that Tōen Shobō's adult-oriented Comic Jumbo magazine is suspending publication with its August issue (on sale July 6). Comic Jumbo had just spun-off the Comic Scissors magazine on June 25, so the fate of Comic Scissors is also uncertain.
Similarly, Leed is suspending Monthly Shōnen Fang's publication with its September issue (on sale July 19). It only started publication this same month last year. However, Yahoo! Comic Japan has not announced that it will stop its release of Shōnen Fang manga titles, which raises the possibility of the manga titles continuing online.
