CMX, Minx's Owner DC Signs Random House to Distribute

posted on by Egan Loo
DC Comics, the owner of the CMX and Minx imprints, has changed its book trade distributor from Warner Books/Hachette to Random House in 2008. Time Warner owned both DC and Warner Books until Hachette acquired the Time Warner Book Group in 2006. DC will still distribute to comic retailers through Diamond Comics Distributors. Random House currently distributes for its in-house Del Rey Manga imprint as well as for Vertical Books. Hachette still distributes for its new imprint Yen Press and for Otaku USA magazine. Viz distributes in the book trade via Simon & Schuster, while TokyoPop distributes via HarperCollins. Source: Publishers Weekly
