posted on by Mikhail Koulikov
Vols. 16, 17, 18 climb again; Vol. 18 now 4th best-selling Naruto volume ever

In their third week on USA Today's list of the nation's top 150 best-selling books from September 3 to September 9, the simultaneously released volumes 16, 17, and 18 of Viz's Naruto manga continue to rise in the rankings. From the #102 position last week, volume 16 has risen to #74. Volume 17, which last week held the #93 spot, also climbed almost thirty spaces on the list, to #65. Volume 18 is still selling the best of the three, improving from #62 to #37.

The only other Naruto volumes that have ever placed higher in the rankings are volume 9, which spent seven weeks on the list and peaked at #29; volume 13, also on the list for seven weeks, and climbing as high as #25; and volume 12. During its eight weeks as a best-seller from August to October of last year, it reached the #21 spot. It held one of the highest spots ever held by a manga.
