The North American distributor Viz Media has announced that Bleach character designer Masashi Kudo will introduce the New York City opening of Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody on June 11. Producer Ken Hagino (Flame of Recca, Saiyuki, Yū Yū Hakusho) and "a costumed version of the character Kon" will join Kudo at the Regal Union Square Stadium 14 Theatre at 7:00 p.m. The first 100 attendees at that theater's June 11 showing will receive a Bleach armband from Great Eastern Entertainment. Kudo, Hagino, and director Noriyuki Abe will also appear in the behind-the-scenes featurette that will play in all participating theaters next Wednesday and Thursday.

In addition to the Bleach television series and movies, Kudo designed the characters for the Aura Battler Dunbine alternate-world story The Wings of Rean and oversaw the animation in epsiodes of Aquarian Age - Sign for Evolution, Planetes, and Witch Hunter Robin. NCM Fathom is organizing the two-day nationwide screenings of the first film spinoff based on Tite Kubo's supernatural fighting manga.
