Viz VP of Sales, Product Marketing Interviewed

The ICv2 retail news source has posted an interview with Gonzalo Ferreyra, the Vice President of Sales and Product Marketing at Viz Media. Ferreyra discusses the evolving manga market — especially the recent Naruto Nation campaign, the gap between the bestsellers and the remaining titles, and the expanding range of demographics and sales venues. He also talks about the anime market and how it is branching out beyond DVDs to online releases. The interview touches upon the other markets that Viz is tackling, such as its original content division, the children's book market, and live-action films via Viz Pictures. Finally, Ferreyra updates some of the topics he covered in ICv2's previous interview last year.
