The Japanese publisher Kodansha has announced on Friday that it will post about 90% of the pages from the premiere issue of the good! Afternoon manga magazine online from January 13 to 20. The magazine had just launched last November, and the second issue will ship on January 19. The magazine's editor-in-chief said in his Friday blog entry that his company is posting the premiere issue online since that issue has been selling out at bookstores.
The debut issue's 700 pages include the Paradise Residence manga by Oh My Goddess creator Kousuke Fujishima, the Junketsu no Maria - Sorcière de gré, pucelle de force historical manga by Moyashimon's Masayuki Ishikawa, the Ice Blade sequel Jiraishin diablo by Tsutomu Takahashi, Halcyon Lunch by Blade of the Immortal's Hiroaki Samura, the Jigoku Dōrei-Kai Tsūshin fantasy by Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Yoigoshi-hen's mimori, the Akai Sora Shiroi Umi horror story by Cromartie High School's Eiji Nonaka, and Natsu no Zenjitsu by Koi Kaze's Motoi Yoshida. However, two of the titles will not be posted online since the magazine was not able to get permission.
Kodansha will post the premiere issue on the magazine's official website in .book format, which requires the T-Time viewer software. Windows, Mac OS, Pocket PC, Palm/CLIE versions of the software are available for downloading. Last fall, Kodansha posted the 14th, 15th, and 16th issues of Morning 2, another manga magazine spinoff from Morning magazine.
