White Album, Shugo Chara Singles Debut at #2, #4

5 anime singles in top 10, including Bleach, SoraKake, Minami-ke: Okaeri

Nana Mizuki's "Shinai" opening theme for the White Album anime series debuted on Oricon's weekly singles chart at #2 by selling 42,630 copies. At #4 was the newest Shugo Chara!! Doki— ending theme, "co • no • mi • chi," by the Buono! group. It sold 19,002 copies.

"Velonica," Aqua Timez's new opening song for the Bleach television series, dropped from #2 to #7 with 9,995 more copies. Ali Project returned to the charts with the Sora o Kakeru Shōjo (Sora Kake Girl) opening theme "Rara Eve Shinseiki." It sold 7,789 to land at #9. The Minami-ke: Okaeri voice actresses Rina Satō, Marina Inoue and Minori Chihara (as their alter egos, the Minami sisters) moved 7,524 copies of their opening theme "Keikenchi Soku Jōjō" at #10. Their "Zettai Colorful Sengen" ending theme for the same anime also ranked at #15 with 6,228 copies.

Another fictional character, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!'s Tsunayoshi Suwada (as voiced by Yukari Kokubun), debuted at #11 by selling 7,473 copies of "Mamoru Beki Mono"/"Ore-tachi no Yakusoku." Sid's Kuroshitsuji opening theme song "Kiss of Monochrome" rose back up to #12 with 7,419 more copies. Angela Aki's "Tegami ~Haikei Jūgo no Kimi e~" fell from #16 to #19 in its 18th week with 4,011 more copies. The Shirogumi computer graphics studio had set this song to animation with original drawings by Fruits Basket manga creator Natsuki Takaya for NHK's Minna no Uta television shorts.

Minami Kuribayashi debuted her "Sympathizer" opening theme for Kurokami The Animation at #22 with 3,528 copies. Right below was monobright's "Anata Magic," which fell from its debut position of #9 with 3,386 more copies. Porno Graffitti's "Koyoi, Tsuki wa Miesu tomo" theme song for the Bleach: Fade to Black - Kimi no Na o Yobu anime film fell again to #24 in its sixth week, but it moved 3,364 more copies. The #1 single was "Bolero"/"Kiss the Baby Sky"/"Wasurenaide" by TVXQ, who are better known in Japan as Tohoshinki.
