Hawaii Fest Screens Eva: 1.0, Sky Crawlers, Ichi, 20th Century Boys

The Hawaii International Film Festival's 12th Annual Spring Showcase will screen Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone — the first of Hideaki Anno and Khara's four threatrical anime remakes of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion television series — and Mamoru Oshii's The Sky Crawlers war romance anime film between Friday and April 9. The event will also show Ichi, Fumihiko Sori's live-action re-imagining of the famous blind swordmaster Zatoichi as a female character. Towards the end of the showcase, Yukihiko Tsutsumi's first two film adaptations of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga will be screened.
