Japanese Box Office, June 20-21

Rookies: Graduation (Rookies ~Sotsugyō-), Yūichirō Hirakawa's theatrical finale to his live-action television drama adaptation of Masanori Morita's Rookies baseball manga, rose back to #1 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's Japanese box office chart during the June 20-21 weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned the equivalent of US$6,404,066 on 428 screens during its fourth weekend for a gross-to-date of US$62,300,102.
Michael Bay's second live-action Transformers film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opened at #2 with US$5,825,212 on 329 screens. (The movie opened in Japan and the United Kingdom one week before North America and most other regions of the world.) MCG's Terminator Salvation film fell to #3 in its second weekend with US$3,675,696 on 697 screens. It now has a gross-to-date of US$19,594,603.
