Monthly Comic Zenon to Succeed Comic Bunch Manga Mag (Updated)

Fist of the North Star's Hara, Angel Heart's Hojo to be in 1st issue on October 25

North Stars Pictures, Coamix, and Tokuma Shoten will launch Monthly Comic Zenon, a manga magazine with many of the creators from Shinchosha's defunct Weekly Comic Bunch magazine, on October 25. In the new magazine, Fist of the North Star artist Tetsuo Hara will launch his first new series in 10 years, and City Hunter creator Tsukasa Hojo will revive his Cat's Eye and Angel Heart manga.

Before heading Monthly Comic Zenon, Nobuhiko Horie was the fifth editor-in-chief of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, and he led the magazine when it had its all-time record print run of 6.53 million copies. He also served as the editor-in-chief of the Weekly Comic Bunch at its launch. The following manga will run in the expanded inaugural issue of Monthly Comic Zenon:

Update: While Weekly Comic Bunch ceased print publication, there will be a "Monthly Comic @Bunch" that will launch with a different manga lineup on January 21, 2011.
