Ufotable Makes Black Rock Shooter Game's Anime Footage (Updated)

The Japanese game developer Imageepoch announced on Wednesday that the anime studio ufotable will be animating sequences in Black Rock Shooter The Game. ufotable confirmed its involvement in the game on its official Twitter account. The Summer 2011 game for the Sony PSP portable console is one of eight projects that Imageepoch discussed at the press conference.
The story is set in 2051, 19 years after alien "Apostles" launched a war that reduced mankind to just 12 survivors. The ultimate weapon, Black Rock Shooter, awakens to face off against the seven Apostles and their countless mecha. Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Last Order Final Fantasy VII) is writing the scenario based on huke's original story and character designs. Kazuya Niinō is directing the project, and the cast members are:

Imageepoch intends to announce more details on the final four projects next year. The developer first revealed the plans for the Black Rock Shooter game with a website in August.
