Charity Cosplay In Bristol April 29

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Proceeds to earthquake appeal.

The Bristol Cosplay Club is presenting a Heart Japan event in Bristol at The Crown pub (map) on Friday April 29. It will run from 2100 until midnight, with proceeds going to the Tohoku Earthquake Relief Fund.

From the facebook page:

In this special event we aim to raise funds for victims of the earthquake and tsunami that tore through Japan last month as part of the Heart Japan fundraising campaign. http://www.heartjapan.org.uk/

You can expect the usual Clubnight affair with a few minor alterations: We will only be playing Jpop/Jrock and Kpop until the end of the night where we might swap it up for more known western party songs should there be some interest... for it.

Entry price will be £4 for all (with the cloakroom staying at £1 per item).

Instead of a cosplay competition there will be a raffle where you will be able to win a large amount of prizes and I do mean large. It'll be the largest prize give away we've ever done! More details will come on this over the next few days.

Start Time: 21:00

Entry Price: £4 (in or out of cosplay)

All money raised through the door, cloakroom and raffle will go towards the Tohoku Earthquake Fund (registered charity 10639520).

This is a sister event to the Heart Japan London concert at the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane on April 20 - for details, see the story here.

The Bristol Cosplay Club has a facebook page here. It is also planning an American-themed cosplay event on July 4.
