Binbō-gami ga! Supernatural Comedy Manga Gets Anime

posted on by Egan Loo
Yoshiaki Sukeno's story of girl who saps "happiness energy" from others

The January issue of Shueisha's Jump Square Lab magazine is announcing on Saturday that an anime adaptation of Yoshiaki Sukeno's Binbogami ga! comedy manga has been green-lit. The story revolves around Ichiko Sakura, a girl whose blissful life comes from her bountiful "happiness energy" — gained by sapping that energy from other people. To restore the balance, the Binbō-gami (Poverty God) Momiji Binbada attempts to eliminate her.

The manga began in the main Jump Square magazine in 2008, and the 11th compiled book volume is shipping this month.
