Nitta's Kiss Ariki, Takanaga's Awkward Silence boys-love titles this summer

SuBLime, the new boys-love imprint of the North American manga publisher Viz Media, announced on Tuesday that it will publish Youka Nitta's Kiss Ariki and Hinako Takanaga's Awkward Silence in print. The first Kiss Ariki volume will be available in print and digital formats this August, followed by a new volume every quarter. The first Awkward Silence volume will be available in print and digital formats this July, followed by a new volume every quarter. SuBLime gives the following plot descriptions:

Kiss Ariki
Youka Nitta
Touru's father, the head of a yakuza fraction, orders him to a deserted island with Matsumi, the son of his second in command, to keep him out of harm's way. Matsumi is a studious honest guy and doesn't much care for Touru. As the two become bored, they use each other's bodies under the pretext of just “helping each other out”, but isn't touching to kill time ultimately the same as sex?

The first volume of Kiss Ariki shipped in Japan last March. SuBLime had shown a video from Nitta during its launch at Yaoi-Con in October. Animate USA has been releasing installments of Kiss Ariki via the Amazon Kindle Store since 2010.

Awkward Silence (Bukiyō na Silent)
Hinako Takanaga
Satoru is an introvert with a longtime crush on Keigo, a popular boy on the baseball team. But much to his surprise, Keigo comes up to him and asks him out! Satoru is so overcome he can't respond. Will Satoru be able to get past his shyness, or will he lose his chance with the boy he loves?

The third volume of Awkward Silence shipped in Japan in 2010. Takanaga just resumed the manga's magazine run in December. Animate USA released the first volume of Awkward Silence digitally in September 2010. JManga then released the first volume on its website when the site launched in August. JManga has since released the manga's second volume.
