One Peace Books to Re-release Crayon Shin-chan Manga in U.S.

The North American publisher One Peace Books confirmed with ANN on Wednesday that it will release the first three volumes of Yoshito Usui's Crayon Shinchan manga in the United States on October 15. The publisher also confirmed with ANN that it will release Variety Art Works' manga versions of Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote, F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, Herman Melville's Moby-Dick, James Joyce's Ulysses, and H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds novels in its "Manga Classic Readers" series on September 1. These books are originally a part of East Press' Manga de Dokuha series. The Crayon Shinchan volumes will sell for US$12.95 each, while the Manga Classic Readers volumes will be available for US$9.95 each.
The American publisher DC Comics' CMX Manga imprint released the first eleven volumes of Crayon Shinchan in North America between February 2008 and May 2010 before the imprint was closed in July 2010.
One Peace Books published MASAHIKO Kanehisa's The Bible: A Japanese Manga Rendition with translations by Glenn Anderson on March 15. Established by the company president Ayumu Takahashi in 2006, One Peace Books launched with five titles in 2009. The publisher's previous releases include the acclaimed author Osamu Dazai's 1939 novel Schoolgirl, Doton Yamaaki's manga Breathe Deeply, and Yumiko Shirai's manga Tenken.
