Phantasy Star Online 2's Short Intro Video Posted

Sega begins open beta test in online RPG with "4 revolutions" in game design

The official website for Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2 role-playing game began streaming a short version of an introductory video on Thursday.

An open beta test began on the same day in Japan. The 129-second video highlights what Sega describes as the "four revolutions" in game design: the "ultimate" character creation system, the "advanced" player communication system, "limitless" battlefields, and "red-hot" battle action.

Sega aims to formally launch Phantasy Star Online 2 for Windows in early summer, followed by an iOS and Android smartphone version in winter, and finally the PS Vita version next spring. The game will be free-to-play across all platforms. The developer had delayed the game's formal service launch until this year to make improvements.
