Psycho-Pass/Kimi ni Todoke producer to attend Seattle event this month

The organizers for Seattle's Sakura-Con convention have announced that it will host WIT Studio founder and president Jōji Wada at the March 29-31 event. WIT Studio is a subsidiary studio under IG Port, the parent company of Production I.G. Wada previously worked as a producer for Production I.G on series such as Sengoku Basara, Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Notes, and Kimi ni Todoke.

Wada, Tetsuya Nakatake, and IG Port then founded WIT Studio last year. The studio has since assisted Production I.G on Robotics;Notes, and is currently working on both the Attack on Titan television anime series and the Hal film.

Sakura-Con also revealed that it will host one of the qualifier rounds for the 2013 GunPla Builders World Cup.

Sakura-Con will be held at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle. The convention will also host animator/director Atsuko Ishizuka (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou), animator/designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, Psycho-Pass executive director Katsuyuki Motohiro and director Naoyoshi Shiotani, voice actress Ayumi Fujimura, Sword Art Online creator Reki Kawahara and musical guests Eir Aoi and Luna Haruna.
