"Cosmo fighting" game's cast from multiple arcs showcased before Fall debut

Bandai Namco Games opened the official website for its upcoming PlayStation 3 game Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers on Friday and began streaming the game's first promotional video. The video confirms that the game will launch this fall not only in Japan, but also in Europe and South America.

The video highlights the "Cosmo fighting action" game's "anime-like 3D battles" and notes that it will cover the Gold Zodiac Temple, Poseidon, and Hades arcs from Masami Kurumada's mythological fantasy manga and anime. Up to two players can fight as Pegasus Seiya, Phoenix Ikki, Andromeda Shun, Cygnus Hyōga, and Dragon Shiryū. Gemini Saga, Sea King Poseidon, and Meiō Hades will also appear for the first time in a game adaptation as bosses.

The Saint Seiya Omega anime is currently airing in Japan, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series into several countries as it airs. The show, which is a sequel to the original 1986-1990 manga and Toei's subsequent 1986-1989 television anime, is the first Saint Seiya television anime in 23 years.
