The official website for the television anime adaptation of AQUAPLUS' White Album 2 began streaming the second promotional video on Friday. Unlike the first one, this video features the voices of the anime and Rena Uehara's opening theme song "Todokai Koi '13." The BS11 television channel also began airing a television commercial for the anime.
The three main voice cast members from the game are reprising their roles in the anime.
Takahiro Mizushima (Code Geass' Rollo Lamperouge) as Haruki Kitahara
Madoka Yonezawa (K-ON!'s Ui Hirasawa) as Setsuna Ogiso
Hitomi Nabatame (Ikki Tousen's Kan'u) as Kazusa Touma
Masaomi Ando (Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse) is directing the series at anime studio Satelight (Macross Frontier, AKB0048, Bodacious Space Pirates). Fumiaki Maruto, the scenario writer for the original games, is supervising and writing the series scripts and Satoru Fujimoto (Senki Zesshō Symphogear G) is adapting Takeshi Nakamura's original character designs. Composer Naoya Shimokawa (To Heart, White Album, Tears to Tiara) is returning from the games to serve as the music producer for the anime.
Leaf, the adult game brand of AQUAPLUS, first released White Album 2 as two visual novel chapters for personal computers. The story centers around a college junior named Haruki Kitahara and his relationships with Setsuna Ogiso and Kazuki Touma in the light music club.
The anime will premiere on Japanese television on October 5, although it will not debut on BS11 until October 9.
