The first two episodes appeared on the Madman Screening Room last week with no announcement on Madman's website or facebook. Two more episodes will be added this Thursday (the 17th) and then one episode every Thursday after then. A home video release is planned for sometime in 2014.
Good Luck Girl! Binbougami Ga!
Sakura Ichiko has it all, good looks, excellent grades and a amazing fortune,. However Ichiko soon discovers that this is due to her natural ability to suck the good fortune away from those around her. To correct this imbalance of good fortune the gods dispatch Momiji, a god of misfortune, to 'treat' Ichiko and bring balance to her life.
Originally published as a manga by Yoshiaki Sukeno, Binbougami Ga! was serialised in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine between July in 2008 and concluded in August this year. The 13 episode anime adaptation was produced at Sunrise under the direction of Yoichi Fujita (Gintama) with Kento Shimoyama (Bleach) handling series composition. Animation director Kenji Tanabe (Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Bonds) also designed the characters alongside art direction by Yukihiro Shibutani (Case Closed).
Funimation is releasing Binbougami Ga! in North America and announced the English dub cast in September with Brina Palencia as Ichiko and Colleen Clinkenbeard as Momiji.
This is the fourth recently added title for this current Screening Room "season" with previous titles Coppelion (link) and Kill La Kill being simulcast (link) and Karneval sneaking onto the Screening Room last week (link).
