The April issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero Sum magazine went on sale with the final chapter of Naked Ape's Switch manga on Friday. The chapter includes a center color page, and the chapter's announcement includes the tagline "The pair will see the truth--!"
The detective manga resumed in the magazine in January 2013. Otoh Saki, one half of the manga writer/artist duo Naked Ape, said at that time that the main characters Hal and Kai aged a little, but Saki and her artist partner Tomomi Nakamura were truly bringing them back.
The gritty action manga focuses on two young government investigators of drug trafficking in Japan. Viz Media published the 12 volumes of the manga's original 2002-2008 run. The story inspired a two-episode video anime series in 2008 and 2009.
The April issue of Kodansha's Aria magazine also announced on Friday that Naked Ape will launch the Chi to Chocolate (Blood and Chocolate) series in the next issue on March 27. The announcement includes the tagline "A boys' youth group drama that can unfold in a closed space!"
The story centers on Yozora Fujimitsu, a newly admitted student to North Gate National Military Academy, a school where the elite gather. Yozora possesses both beauty and intelligence, but he immediately feels uneasy at his new school. He thinks, "At this school, there's some kind of big secret." A vortex of speculations occupies Yozora as he's led toward that secret.
