Los Angeles, California (May 27, 2026) – Toho Co., LTD. officially announced the third chapter of the dark fantasy anime Dorohedoro following the riveting conclusion of its second season. The animated adaptation of Q-HAYASHIDA's hit manga is confirmed to be in third season production, continuing the story of amnesiac, lizard-headed Caiman and the mysterious magic of the Hole.

Dorohedoro, originally a manga that debuted in 2000 and was serialized for 18 years, established a passionate, long-time global fanbase through its unique worldview, dark humor, and chaotic storytelling. The manga then became a critically acclaimed anime series in 2020, defying expectations about screen adaptation. After fans waited, Season 2, along with the first season, streamed on several platforms in April 2026, immersing viewers again in the swamp of chaos where one mystery leads to another.

Shortly after the second-season finale streamed, it was revealed that fans could look forward to a new arc of the cult anime. In celebration of the announcement that a new season was already in the works, director Yuichiro Hayashi shared a special commemorative illustration featuring the demonic character Haru passionately singing in anticipation of the upcoming sequel.

Additionally, the animated music video for Season 2's opening theme, “Zettai Must Danmen,” by returning music group (K)NoW_NAME, has also been released. The MV pulses with nods to Season 2, ramping up the chaotic energy as mysteries spiral out of control, which can be discovered in the lyrics.
